Historic Rock Ford welcomes the Ephrata Chamber Ensemble for “Baroque on the Piazza” at the General Edward Hand Mansion for an outdoor evening filled with the sounds of historic Baroque chamber music. The ensemble will be presenting Vivaldi's Double Trumpet Concerto in C Major, as well as works by Handel, Telemann, Corelli, and J.S. Bach.
The event opens at 6 PM and the music will begin at 6:30 PM. There will be a short intermission.
Seating location is on a first-come basis. Guests should bring their own chairs (blankets are not recommended so that everyone may have a good view of the ensemble on the piazza).
In the event of rain, this event will be held under the tent by the Rock Ford Barn.
When ordering tickets, guests have the option of adding on a charcuterie box from Graze Catering!
Additionally, wine by the glass will be available for purchase by guests 21 and over.
ABOUT OUR MUSICIANS: The Ephrata Chamber Ensemble was started by local harpsichordist Faith Martin of Ephrata, PA. After studying music at the harpsichord for several years, Faith realized that she most enjoyed using this instrument in collaboration with other musicians, which led her to organize the Ephrata Chamber Ensemble. Her sister on the violin, her brother on the cello, and several musician friends and vocal soloists will join her to bring this program of live music to Rock Ford. Guests to Historic Rock Ford may recognize Faith from her performances during the annual Yuletide event for the past three years.
